"We have just enough religion to make us hate, but not enough to make us love one another. Using it like a trolley car - we ride on it only while it is going our way."

Explode.
"Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two."
Light.
“When did we see each other face-to-face? Not until you saw into my cracks and I saw into yours. Before that, we were just looking at ideas of each other, like looking at your window shade but never seeing inside. But once the vessel cracks, the light can get in. The light can get out.”

Love in Paris.
“For in Paris, whenever God puts a pretty woman there (the streets), the Devil, in reply, immediately puts a fool to keep her.”

Falling Stars.
"Life doesn't give us a lot of options.
we take the days at it come. the good with the bad.
the happy and the sad.
but then we find ourselves lingering in the moments of the past,
it may bring a tear, a simple smile or a period of thought.
the past needs to repeat itself to make us realize why we are here in the present and to remind of us what to do in the future.
catch a memory. save it in your heart. seal it with emotions. and open it with joy every single time."
